Aire Waves

Leeds Canoe Club Blog. We paddle... lots!
Airewaves used to be Leeds Canoe Club's magazine letting people know what the club was upto. Its quite hard work pulling together a publication letting people know what the club is doing and publishing dates in advance is always hard as things tend to change. Step forth the blog.. Push button publishing for the masses. So here is the idea a few people in the club take it in turns to write up trips and talk about things in the club.

Lakes - New Non-Water Roll

After the first day paddling in the lakes, Julie decided to perform a new kind of roll, which most of us have never tried. It was very skilful, and involved rolling down the bank towards the lake with her knickers round her ankles and trying (not too well) to hide inside her towel as she fell.

This came of some surprise to Jeanie, who was in mid conversation Julie at the time, and turned around to wonder where she had disappeared!

Julie was very lucky to only have two other spectators to this event - myself and Dave! She was even more lucky to find that neither of us had a camera handy! I thought she had got off too lightly of this rather amusing event, so thought I'd share it with the rest of Leeds Canoe Club and other visitors to the site.

Sorry Julie but it just had to be said!
